Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Digital Tire Inflator

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. And today, we're going to take a look at the zero to 150 PSI digital tire inflator. Now, when you hook an air line up to this inflator and then clip this hose onto your valve stem, this tire inflator will air up your tires just by squeezing this trigger. It is a 14 inch long hose. And as I mentioned has this clip on chuck that you can put onto the valve stem.

Clip it on there and it'll lock it into place. Now, this inflator will measure your tire pressure from zero to 150 PSI on your LCD display right here. And I want to zoom in just to show you what that display looks like. Basically, it has two buttons underneath. The blue one is a light button.

So if it's at night and you need to read it, you can push on the light. Push it again and it'll turn the light off.The other red button is the unit button. So once you push the unit selector, you can see it'll zero out. It'll show PSI. If you want to change the reading from PSI, you push it again.

It'll go to BAR. Push it again, it'll go to KPA. And push it again, it'll go to kilogram force per square centimeter reading. And then, again, it'll go back to the PSI.Now, if you do want to turn it off you just hold down on that red button. It'll turn the system off.

Now, this is accurate within 0.5 PSI. Right here it has this built in pressure release button that you can push to lower the pressure. So basically, if you air it up and you go over the air pressure, you can just push this and bring it down to where you want it to be. And you can see it is a nice back lit blue LCD display. We'll zoom back out. Now, it does come with two AAA batteries. They're installed back here to power your display here. Comes with the quarter-inch male inlet down here that your air hose or air line will connect to. A nice little feature it has is right next to the air line. If you unscrew this knob here and pull it all the way out, it's an actual valve core removal tool. You can put that into your valve stem and remove the valve core if need be. And if you're not using it, just go ahead and screw it back into place. But that should do it for the review on this zero to 150 PSI digital tire inflator.

  • Does The Performance Tool Portable Tire Inflator PT85NJ Shut Off When It Hits Set PSI?
Kelly, no, the # PT85NJ does not have an auto shut-off feature. You’ll watch the built-in analog gauge while inflating and turn it off at the desired pressure. If you want something with a digital readout and more precise control, the # PT35VR is a nice complement since it can bleed air down to exact PSI levels (accurate to within 0.5 psi). Do you want me to show you how some folks pair those two together?

  • Comparing PT35VR Digital Tire Gauge To PT75NJ Portable 12V Tire Inflator
Hey Kevin! Yes, they serve different roles. The # PT75NJ is a standalone 12V compressor that actually inflates the tire. The # PT35VR, on the other hand, is a digital inflator/gauge. You still need an air source for the # PT35VR, but it gives you accurate readings, a bleed valve, and a core tool. A lot of people carry both: the # PT75NJ for emergencies on the road, and the # PT35VR for more precise checks and adjustments at home or on a trip. If you were to only pick one, it would have...

  • Can The Digital Tire Inflator Gauge PT35VR Change Units Of Measurement?
Yes, Marco, on the # PT35VR you can cycle through PSI, KPA, BAR, and kg/cm² with the push of a button. That makes it handy if you’re used to using different measurements or if you’re working on different applications. The back-lit LCD display makes it easy to read in low light too. How do you plan to use this digital tire gauge? Using it just to check, or using it inline with a compressor?

  • Digital Tire Gauge Add-On For Air Compressor Tank In Garage
Definitely, Hannah. The # PT35VR is a digital inflator that connects to your existing compressor hose. It gives you precise digital readings, a bleed button to fine-tune pressure, and even a valve core removal tool built into the side. It’s more accurate and easier to read than a lot of basic gauges. Do you normally check pressures on cars, or are you keeping up with trailer or RV tires too?

  • How Does Digital Tire Inflator Work With Air Compressor?
Carlos, the # PT35VR is different. Unlike the # PT75NJ and # PT85NJ - which are full 12V compressors that inflate tires on their own - the # PT35VR is a digital inflator gauge. You still need a compressor or air source, but it gives you a back-lit digital display, lets you bleed air down precisely, and even has a valve core removal tool built in. A lot of RV and truck owners use it alongside their bigger compressor for more accurate fills. It can work as a stand-alone tire gauge, or a filler...

  • Can I Use Digital Tire Gauge PT35VR To Check Pressure Without Air Compressor
Yes, Phil, you can use the # PT35VR as a standalone digital tire gauge. Just clip it onto the valve stem and it will read out your tire pressure, powered by the included AAA batteries. You only need to hook it up to an air compressor's air hose if you actually want to inflate or deflate. Would you like me to show you how the bleed button works for letting air out precisely?

  • Does Digital Tire Inflator Actually Inflate The Tire, Or Is It A Gauge?
Good question, Cheryl. The # PT35VR is a digital inflator and gauge, not a stand-alone compressor. Think of it as the tool you connect to an air hose to fill your tire. It gives you a super accurate digital readout within 0.5 psi and even lets you bleed off air with the built-in release button. It can also be used on its own as a tire gauge if you just want to check pressure. Have you already got a compressor you’d be pairing it with?

  • Very Accurate Digital Tire Pressure Gauge Up To 150psi
Nora, the digital tire gauge # PT35VR is accurate within half a PSI, which is much more precise than most stick gauges. Plus, the digital display is easier to read, especially in low light. If you’ve ever second-guessed a stick gauge reading, this tool eliminates that frustration. Do you usually check pressures on daily drivers, or are you keeping up with a trailer or RV too?

  • Car Tire Compressor And Gauge With Light And LCD Screen For Checking Tires In The Dark
Sam, the LED on the # PT85NJ is surprisingly handy and bright since it's modern LED and not incandescent. It’s built right into the unit so it lights up the tire valve area while you work. That’s nice not only for visibility, but also to alert passing cars if you’re pulled over at night. If you regularly find yourself checking pressures before sunrise, I’d lean toward the # PT85NJ over the # PT75NJ, since that light makes the job less stressful. Do you actually need a compressor, or just...

  • Does Digital Tire Inflator Gauge 150psi Work With Shop Compressor On RV Tires?
Alan, yes, the # PT35VR is rated for up to 150 psi, so it can handle RV tires at 90 psi without issue. You’ll just connect its 1/4inch male inlet to your compressor hose, clip the chuck on the valve, and then use the digital display to dial in exact pressure. The nice part is you can switch between PSI, BAR, KPA, or kg/cm², so it’s flexible depending on what you prefer to read. Do you want me to point you toward some extension hoses that make RV dual-wheel setups easier to reach?
